I haven't hit a ball for a long time. I need to make sure that my wrist is completely healed before I pick up the racquet again. I was in too much of a hurry last time I tried and that didn't make it any better. From here on I'll take to it one step at a time.
If I can resume on-court practice, I need at least a month to pick up my game, so I don't think I can enter another tournament before February. I might start with small tournaments to get my confidence back before I move on to the tougher ones.
Do you miss the tour?Of course, it's still in my blood. It's not easy watching the other guys playing on TV because I really want to be playing too! I can't wait to get back.
What are you aiming for on the tour?I want to be in the top 50 again or 20 if possible, but it won't be easy with so many rising players. If I can't make it, though, I won't have any regrets because I've already achieved much more than I ever expected when I started playing.
I just have to move on to the next phase of my life. There are a lot of things to do apart from tennis!
