The Ivory Coast forward said in October that he had become disillusioned after the departure of Jose Mourinho as manager, and he repeated that sentiment in an interview on Eurosport.
"It comes from me, I said what I am thinking, that I wanted to leave," Drogba said.
"I have been saying that I want to leave since two or three years.
"Mourinho's departure didn't help, to the contrary it made my desire to leave even bigger."
"I am not going to speak about my next club and my major objective is the African Cup of Nations and then winning everything when I return for Chelsea."
