The bank also assigned Viroth Chokevivattana, the new first vice president of the Information Technology Department, to be responsible for information technology and systems development, in line with the bank's new business strategies.
The appointments took effect on Tuesday, Exim Bank said in a statement.
Somphan earned a bachelor's degree in accountancy, specialising in accounting theory, from Chulalongkorn University and a master's degree in management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
He joined Exim Bank as executive vice president in 1994.
Viroth earned his bachelor's degree from Kasetsart University and a master's degree in science and applied statistics from the National Institute of Development Administration.
Before joining the bank, he was an internal auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers Thailand. He has held executive positions at Samart and Samart Comtech. Before joining the bank on Tuesday, he was deputy director of Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand).
