TTL Industries dissolves JV

TTL Industries Plc's shareholders approved the dissolution of its loss-making joint venture, TTL Tecloth, at the meeting on December 28, 2007.

TTL Tecloth was established on February 7, 2002 which registered

capital of Bt22.5 million. It is 50:50 joint venture of TTL Industries

and Teijin Tecloth Ltd, Japan. The company manufactured special kind of yarn for export. However, TTL Tecloth has suffered from losses for many years. TTL Tecloth comes under the liquidation process.

Several Thai textile companies are suffering from losses due mainly to cheap goods from rival countries like China and Vietnam.
