Wall street scholarships up for grabs

Chulalongkorn University students offered chance to win one-year teaching scholarships at WSI

In honour of His Majesty the King and to celebrate its fifth anniversary in Thailand, the Wall Street Institute (WSI) is organising a scholarship programme called "Mae Pim Thai Pur Por" (Teacher-To-Be Scholarship Programme in Honour of The King).

The one-year scholarships at WSI, with unlimited studying, will be granted to nine students from the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University to improve their English skills and prepare them for their future careers.

Entrants must be third or fourth year students of the Education faculty at Chulalongkorn University and must have a strong desire to become a teacher. Applications for the scholarships must be sent to the faculty before January 18, 2008. WSI and Chulalongkorn University will announce the names of the scholarship winners on January 25, 2008.

The Scholarship Program in honour of HM the King will be extended to other universities and colleges in the future.
