Prem not involved in the coalition formation

Royal chief adviser General Prem Tinsulanonda had no involvement in the coalition formation and did not meet with two party leaders, Banharn Silapaarcha and Suwit Khunkitti as speculated, Prem's aide Vice Adminral Pajun Tampratheep said on Tuesday.

"The speculation about the meeting between the Privy Council president and two leaders of Chart Thai and Puea Pandin parties is groundless and any attempts to fuel such speculation is an act of political irresponsibility," Pajun said.

He said Prem was not concerned about the political situation in the wake of the victory of the People Power Party and that the negotiations to form the next government would stay on course.
