King calls for unity, solidarity

Defending and running the country must be done through a concerted effort which will require the solidarity and unity of all Thai people in all walks of life, His Majesty the King said in a speech at yesterday's military graduation ceremony for the three branches of the Armed Forces.

He also called on all Thais "not to let anyone or anything divide them" and to consolidate their unity and form closer bonds between each other.

"The military and civilian population need to always maintain a high level of unity and solidarity to achieve success," he said.

"Such a task cannot be achieved by individual effort only. This what everyone needs to understand clearly."
