NTC delays the second telecom master plan

The national telecom regulator has put off the introduction of the second telecom master plan to the second quarter from the original schedule this month as it wants to wait to see the new government's telecom policy.

Suranan Wongvithayakamjorn, secretary general of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), said that the board made an approval on the postponement, so that the NTC could revise the second master plan to be in line with the new government's policy.

As a result, the licensing body will extend the use of the first master plan to the next quarter.
