The province's special flood, storm and landslide centre said yesterday things were returning to normal as the Sungai Kolok and Sai Buri and Bang Nara rivers receded, leaving only some areas of Tak Bai, Muang and Sungai Kolok flooded.
To date, floods between last Monday and Friday had affected 323 villages in 13 districts and 71,400 residents. Two people died, nine homes, destroyed and another 60 seriously damaged, the centre said.
