Reading: “On Friendship” by Michel de Montaigne

“Because I travel a lot, I have audioŽbooks as my companions.
“Montaigne was one the most influenŽtial writers of the French Renaissance. Essentially, this book is about what the meaning of friendship truly is, and how you can celebrate friendship. I like the book because I like Montainge and his philosophy. It’s inspired me to rethink my own personal friends.
“In many cultures today, if you ask people what they do in their spare time, the answer would be ‘shopping’. That’s the sad thing. Two decades ago you would have seen people playing a clarinet or harp as their hobby. I believe educated people should have a nice pastime, and reading is my hobby.”
