
Vice president of sales and marketing Satid Sudbuntad said although production costs have surged this year, DRT gained benefits from the baht's appreciation as 40 per cent of its raw materials are imported asbestos.
However, he said skyrocketing energy costs has impacted on other raw material prices such as cement and paint.
The company is confident to reach sales revenue of Bt2.5 billion this year, up from Bt1.4 billion last year.
According to its report to the Stock Exchange, DRT's revenue for the first nine months was Bt1.974 billion, an increase of 6.1 per cent on year thanks to more demand for fibre cement tiles and siding boards. Profit was up 30.5 per cent on year to Bt316.1 million.
