EXPORT GROWS BY 10 TO 12.5 PER CENT NEXT YEAR.

Export to grow by 10 to 12.5 per cent next year.

Commerce Ministry expects its official export target will grow by 10-12.5 per cent to US$165-168.75 billion next year. Also, it is confident to achieve export growth of 16.1 per cent to US$150 billion this year, from its previous target of 12.5 per cent.

Commerce Minister Krirkkrai Jirapaet said on Friday

that export would still a key engine to drive the

Kingdom's economic growth next year, despite concerned

over baht's appreciation and skyrocketing oil price.

The ministry predicted that Thailand would enjoy trade

surplus of $11 billion this year, while next year the

country would gain a trade surplus at $15-20 billion.
