Democrats: probe money imported from Hong Kong

Democrat Party spokesman Ongart Klampaiboon called on the Election Commission to urgently check if the import of Bt60 million cash by three Hong Kong businessmen had anything to do with the general election.

Ongart said although the businessmen brought the money in legally, the Democrats suspected why they had to bring in cash to do business when they had other ways which were more convenient.

He said the EC should launch a speedy investigation if the businessmen brought the money into the country for other purposes.
