France president sends congratulation note to HM the King

In his letter dated December 4, Sarkozy said he was also happy to learn that the King's health had improved.

He also wished to emphasise the long and excellent relationship and the trust between Thailand and France. His country wanted to see more bilateral cooperation in the year to come and in the future.

France's Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner who visited Thailand in October also emphasised the wishes during his visit.

Sarkozy said in the letter he was very honoured that his country had the opportunity to receive members of the Thai Royal family including Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana.

Their visits effectively confirmed the excellent mutual relationship.

Moreover, Sarkozy wished better health for HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana who he said has been known as friend of France for a long time.
