Duo against lottery bill

National Legislative Assembly members Chamlong Srimuang and General Panthep Poowanartnurak yesterday called for an end to the Office of the Government Lottery Bill.

Chamlong said the two-and three-digit lottery was "illegal" and ran against the principle of the sufficiency economy.

Panthep said the bill should be deferred and left for the new government to make a decision. "Otherwise, history will record that the NLA issued a law that encourages vice," he said.
