Thai exporters apply for Jtepa
Thai exporters have expressed great interest in reaping maximum benefits from the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (Jtepa) after only one month's implementation.

The Foreign Trade Department reported that requests for export quota applications under Jtepa reached 3,615 forms from November 1-21, worth US$188 million (Bt6.36 billion).
Products that registered the highest requests for export quotas were bananas, with a volume of 117.5 tonnes worth Bt2.7 million; and pork, with 8.5 tonnes worth Bt1.4 million.
