With the success of the popular S Medical Spa, said to be one of the best medical spas in the world and certainly the most comprehensive in Asia, its president and founder Dr Pakpilai Thavisin is supported in her belief that good health and high levels of energy are a cornerstone for life.
With this in mind, she opened the seaSpa Wellness Retreat at Casa Del Mare Hotel, a boutique resort in Hua Hin. Inspired by spa designs in the Mediterranean, the small beach resort is a great place to experience an array of wellness treatments.
This small and cosy spa offers services in seven treatment rooms, all focusing on privacy and easy access to the waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
The walls of the treatment rooms are painted a soft white to reflect the colour of the smooth sandy beaches of Hua Hin. The 320-square-metre spa area itself is decorated in turquoise and grey, to evoke the gentle sway of the waves. The walkways, paved with pebbles, further emphasise the seaside mood.
Behind the style, there's substance: seaSpa offers medically proven treatments, including therapeutic massages, facials and body treatments, as well as detoxification programmes, all delivered by spa professionals. For instance, the detox treatments offered includes Colon Hydrotherapy and Blue Wave massage, a signature treatment that aims at reducing stress while simultaneously removing harmful toxins from the system.
The spa also utilises natural healing products, including seaweed, pearls and caviar in one-of-a-kind treatments such as Caviar Lift and Bright Rejuvenation facial. These treatments use a combination of fruit compounds, golden caviar and neo placenta (sheep-placenta extract), all prized for their rejuvenating properties.
Another highlight is the Aqua Marine after-sun facial, specially designed to treat sunburn. It uses aloe vera gel and is ideal for sensitive skin.
If you are in the mood for a unique retreat the next time you visit Hua Hin, just head off to Casa Del Mare Hotel.
