October exports at historic peak
Thailand's export value in October reached US$14.5 billion or 26.7 per cent up year on year, a historic peak.
Imports in the month reached $13 billion or up 20.2 per cent, leading to the trade surplus of $1.5 billion, according to Rachane Pojanasunthorn, director-general of the Export Promotion Department.
In the first 10 months, export value reached US$125 billion or an increase of 17.2 per cent from the same period last year, according to the Commerce Ministry.
Import value during the period reached $115 billion, up 7.8 per cent. Trade surplus in the period was $9.95 billion.
