A lot has changed since the Moronis' humble beginnings in this quiet Milanese district, although Nadia's skill and dedication have not. Her subtle, elaborate cuisine has drawn over the years the most demanding crowds from downtown and beyond, as Il Luogo was growing from a modest restaurant to a national symbol.
With Aimo in the dining room and Stefania by the cash machine, this outstanding family business is well on its way to the next generation.
The dishes could be loosely labelled as Tuscan cuisine revisited. Expect pure and intense flavours from the freshest available ingredients, as well as exquisite originality.
The subtle starters are delightful, as with the asparagus soup, but main courses are just as impressive: Just try the cepes with Parmesan in their squid sauce and enjoy.
