No more octane-95 at Bangchak stations
Bangchak Petroleum Plc will scrap distribution of octane-95 petrol on December 1 onwards, with the plans to increase the sale volume of gasohol 91 and 95 as well as biodiesel.
Anusorn Sangnimnuan, president of the company, said that in January, the company would also start selling gasohol of which 20 per cent mixture is ethanol on expectation that the Energy Ministry would announce the E20 promotion campaign in December. It will be first available in some of Bangkok stations first.
Since gasohol and biodiesel are promoted, some of Bangchak stations do not offer conventional petrol and diesel. Bangchak now sells 1 million litres of octane-95 petrol, or about Bt30 million a month.
The Energy Business Department's figures showed nationwide, in October, octane-95 sale volume was Bt2.6 million a day while octane-91 petrol at 11 million litres, diesel at 45.6 million, gasohol 95 at 4.7 million, gasohol 91 at 0.9 million, and biodiesel 2.1 million.
