Chatu Mongol to help Democrat Party

MR Chatu Mongol Sonakul, former Bank of Thailand's governor, said on Saturday that he agreed to help join Democrat Party for the upcoming general election.



He said Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva has personally asked him for help for two years ago.

"So, I agree to help Khun Abhisit without any condition," he said.

Asked whether he would agree to becom finance minister if Democrat Party forms the government, he said the party might have several candidates and he doesn't know whether he would be chosen. - The Nation
