Discussing Gender Challenges in Post-Primary Education in East and Southeast Asia

The Education Policy and Reform Unit of United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) Bangkok and the South Korean Educational Development Institute (Kedi) will jointly organise a regional seminar on "Gender Challenges in Post-primary Education" from November 13 to 15 at the Unesco offices in Bangkok on Sukhumvit Road.



Discussing Gender Challenges in Post-Primary Education in East and Southeast Asia

The seminar will bring together 12 experts on genders and secondary education from Kedi, Unesco as well as Vietnam, Thailand, China, Republic of South Korea, Cambodia and Lao PDR. The experts will share research findings on gender issues in secondary-education policies and practices, discuss various barriers to gender equality in post-primary education, review various policies and directives in the context of different countries and discuss how they are applied as well as the challenges they face.
