He said the party was confidant it would sweep 50 seats, primarily in the Northeast, the North and some constituencies in Bangkok.
Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat, was a strong base for him and therefore was most important to Ruam Jai Thai Chat Pattana, Suwat said.
"In political terms, it is our 'capital city', therefore, we won't lose," he said.
Party secretary-general Pradit Pattaraprasit said Ruam Jai would introduce its party-list candidates from today.
The party yesterday opened an election centre in Bangkok's constituency 8 and introduced three candidates for the constituency led by Bhichit Rattakul.
Key party figures, leader Chettha Thanajaro, Suwat, Anek Laothammatas and Pradit, attended.
Anek compared Bhichit to Al Gore, the former United States vice president who has been campaigning on the dangers of climate change.
Anek called Bhichit and his staff "Al Jo", which is Bhichit's nickname. He has a staff with expertise in the environment and economics like Jirakorn Kajasenee and Kasemsan Weerakul, who will run with Bhichit, Anek said.
"Bhichit served as Bangkok governor. He is known in all areas of Bangkok," he said.
