The King and Queen of Jordan have wished the Thai monarch and his elder sister a speedy recovery.
His Majesty the King and his sister, Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, have been receiving treatment at Siriraj Hospital.
Jamnong Bhirombhakdi, the honorary consul of Jordan in Thailand, yesterday brought the message from King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and flowers to the hospital.
According to Jamnong, the King and Queen said in their message that they, the government as well as the people of Jordan have prayed for His Majesty's quick recovery and they hope that Thai people will continue to prosper under the graciousness of His Majesty and the Royal Family.
In their message, the King and the Queen of Jordan also wished Princess Galyani a speedy recovery.
The Royal Household Bureau yesterday announced that His Majesty had a good appetite, was sleeping well and was performing active exercise.
On the Princess's condition, the Royal Household Bureau said she was becoming more conscious and was able to take more food.
Her blood pressure was normal as medical treatment and physical therapy continued, the Bureau added.
People continued to flock to Siriraj Hospital yesterday to sign "get well" messages for the beloved members of the Royal Family.
Marine Department director-general Prasong Tantimaneewattana said his agency was providing a free ferry service between Tha Chang and Prannok piers, a common route to and from the hospital, between 7am and 7pm every day.
"Each day, there are about 4,000 to 5,000 passengers," he said, as he led about 200 officials from his department to sign "get well" messages for His Majesty and the Princess.
In a related development, the Supreme Patriarch yesterday led the prayers in dedication to His Majesty and the Princess at the Emerald Buddha Temple.
In Chiang Mai, a mobile exhibition in honour of the Princess attracted hundreds of visitors.
Held by the Culture Ministry, the exhibition is touring all regions to celebrate the Princess's 84th birthday anniversary this year.
The exhibition will later be permanently displayed at Kanchanaphisek Hall in Pathum Thani.
Culture Ministry deputy permanent secretary Chaweerat Kasetsunthorn said the exhibition had attracted more than 10,000 visitors now that it had toured almost all the regions.
The exhibition showcases the Princess's royal works and some personal writings, including postcards she sent to her grandmother, Queen Savang Vadhana.
