An executive source at RS, the organiser of the show, yesterday said Copperfield's tour might have to be postponed or cancelled while an investigation by the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is carried out.
"That side [Copperfield] says they will decide [about the tour] and inform us within 48 hours," the source said.
RS has already sold over 70,000 tickets for shows, due to be held from November 8-10.
Meanwhile, show organisers in Indonesia and Malaysia have already announced cancellations.
The Kuala Lumpur-based Star quoted Arianna Event Management director Arianna Teoh as saying the cancellation was caused by the FBI investigation into the master illusionist.
"He needs to help in the investigations. Copperfield is not prevented from leaving the United States, but he needs time to get to the bottom of things," Teoh said.
An unidentified woman had accused the well-known illusionist of sexual misconduct in the Bahamas. Recently, the FBI raided Copperfield's warehouse and a theatre where he performs in Las Vegas.
Copperfield uses the warehouse, dubbed the Inter-national Museum & Library of Conjuring Arts, as an office, for rehearsals and to store memorabilia and props and keeps an apartment on the second floor.
David Chesnoff, Copper-field's lawyer, rebutted the allegation that Copperfield had "forced himself" on the woman.
The FBI has searched the Hollywood Theatre at the MGM Grand Casino-Hotel where Copperfield regularly performs, casino spokeswoman Yvette Monet told The Associated Press.
