In-form Rangers face a Barca side hit by injuries

Hamburg - Barcelona take on Glasgow Rangers in a Champions League Group E encounter Tuesday missing several key players.

Both sides head into the tie with a perfect six points from two matches but the Catalan giants will be without midfielder Deco, who will be out for around a month after tearing a muscle in his left thigh in Saturday's 3-1 defeat away to Villarreal.

Other injury absences will be Gianluca Zambrotta, Rafa Marquez, Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto'o.

The only good news for Barca is the return of Ronaldinho, who missed the Villarreal debacle after coming back late from Brazil due to that infamous party in Rio de Janeiro.

Ronaldinho has not been disciplined by the club, but patience with the playmaker is running out. It is largely because of his antics over the past year that Barca have prepared a strict "internal code" for their players.

Rangers, meanwhile, prepared for the clash in the perfect way at the weekend with a 3-0 defeat of arch-rivals Celtic. In the other match in Group E, German champions VfB Stuttgart and Olympique Lyon meet looking to get their first points of the campaign.

In Group F, Manchester United travel to Dynamo Kiev hoping to maintain their 100-per-cent record in the group.

Sir Alex Ferguson will be without striker Louis Saha because of a knee problem but Nemanja Vidic returns to the squad after missing Saturday's 4-1 win over Aston Villa.

In the other group game, AS Roma welcome Sporting Lisbon at the Stadio Olimpico looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat at United and a dismal run in the Serie A, where they conceded 12 goals and reaped six points in the last five games.

Veteran Christian Panucci and Brazilian Juan are Luciano Spalletti's choice to improve his defence while relying on the in- form captain Francesco Totti as a single forward.

Inter Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is struggling with a mild fever ahead of the Italian champions' Group G tie against CSKA Moscow.

Coach Roberto Mancini has Julio Cruz ready to replace the Swede to form an all-Argentinian striking package next to Hernan Crespo.

In midfield, Mancini will rely on Portuguese veteran Luis Figo, who turns 35 on November 4, but has played quite often in the early part of the season and is looking to notch his 100th game in the Champions League.

"Moscow is a city where I always had good results," said Figo, who won there in 2003 with Real Madrid against Lokomotiv and last year beat Spartak with Inter.

"We are working hard to improve our lead (in the Serie A) and try to win both at home and in the Champions League."

Still missing in defence are the injured Marco Materazzi and the suspended Brazilian Douglas Maicon. Group G leaders Fenerbahce face PSV Eindhoven in the other match.

Sevilla also have injury problems ahead of their group H clash at home to Steaua Bucharest.

Javi Navarro, Aquivaldo Mosquera, Frederic Kanoute and Aleksandr Kherzhakov are all touch-and-go for Tuesday with various injuries.

Sevilla are second in the group with three points, Steaua are rock bottom with no points at all.

Juande Ramos's team won their first match in five on Saturday, 2-0 away to bottom team Levante. "Now we have to get back into the habit of winning," said youngster Jesus Navas on Sunday.

Group leaders Arsenal meet Slavia Prague for the first time in European competition looking to maintain a three-point lead at the top.
