DVD

Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), a blonde on the run with stolen money, checks in for the night blissfully unaware of the danger that awaits inside. Marion, who poses a threat to Mother Bates, is victimised in the now-famous shower scene.

The Disc: The package comprises two discs, the first containing the movie plus a making of, newsreel footage, the shower scene with and without music, production photographs and trailers. Audio options are English and Japanese with subtitles in English, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai.

The second disc is crammed with special features with English, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish subtitles but no Thai. The 49-minute special feature is titled "Masters of Cinema: Alfred Hitchcock and American Film Institute Salute to Alfred Hitchcock" and offers a fascinating look at the great filmmaker's life.

The cover price is Bt799 and the package is being sold for between Bt600 and Bt720.

Little Children

The Story: Loosely based on the novel by Tom Perrota, the film centres on Sarah (Kate Winslet), a former feminist who is now a bored housewife and mother to little Lucy (Sadie Goldstein). Sarah meets the stay-at-home Brad (Patrick Wilson), who is husband to successful documentary-filmmaker Kathy (Jennifer Connelly) at the children's playground and before long, the pair are meeting for afternoon trysts. Meanwhile, the community is riled by the return of a convicted sex offender (Jackie Earle Haley), leaving concerned parents scrambling to protect their young ones. Sarah and Brad also try to legitimise their relationship by dining together with their respective spouses.

The Disc: Distributed by EVS Company, the film unfortunately has been censored in parts - it faced a similar problem when it went on general release - leading to months of delay. It also doesn't have any special features despite a cover price of Bt389 and is in shops now for between Bt200 and Bt320.
