However, he has not yet approached any political party.
He compared himself to a young lady. Though ready to get married, the blushing maiden is not supposed to approach the suitor. The prospective groom must come to her door in the traditional Thai Khan Mak dowry procession.
As the election date is now set, the political scene is turning frantic with so many influential and famous figures scrambling to join this or that party. I believe Bannawit is not alone in waiting for proposals.
The Utopia Party ("Udomrat" in Thai) understands that.
It has run a recruitment ad in a Thai newspaper seeking qualified people to run in the election. The ad is really enticing, particularly if you are dreaming of become prime minister.
The party said qualified persons who want to be prime minister, ministers and MPs were welcome to submit their applications, free of charge.
You may be surprised to learn what kind of political party this is. On its website, the party advertises itself as a new choice for the country.
Written on top of the website is: "Thailand has plenty of qualified, ethical, knowledgeable and capable persons to lead the country. Yet there is no opportunity for them. Udomrat Party is thus created to erase the obstacles and open wide an opportunity for such persons who are not in the political arena but could lead the country to prosperity with proven ethics and knowledge."
This could be a big chance for Bannawit. Would he be interested in filling out the application form? Rather than approach a political party in person, he can do it at home. With that, he would be considered as shy and reserved as any Thai lady.
