SET closes up 0.87%

Thai shares ended 0.87 per cent higher on Wednesday, propelled by the strong gain in the Asian regional stock markets.

The SET index was in euphoria for the entire day. Its lowest level in the day was at 871.58 and its peal at 879.51 before it closed the market at 875.10. Turnover was moderate at Bt27.75 billion.

PTT Plc (PTT) was down 0.59 per cent at Bt338, Thoresen Thai Agencies Plc (TTA) went up 8.47 per cent at Bt64, PTT Exploration and Production plc (PTTEP) surged 1.43 per cent at Bt142, and Bangkok Bank (BBL) rose 2.50 per cent at Bt123.
