In reaction to criticism that the censure debate was set late in the order  to limit time for discussion  Meechai said the schedule was set according to the motions proposed.

NLA member Praphan Koonmee, who supported the motion, said the order of the debate was not a problem, and it could not be cancelled.

NLA Whip Somjate Boonthanom said Meechai would not do anything illegal or tricky to the NLA.The debate will take place tomorrow (Wednes-day October 10).

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont's possession of

a plot of land on Khao Yai Thiang and whether it was an encroachment on public land would also be discussed.Meechai said it depended on Surayud and Cabinet members whether they would seek to clarify their actions before the NLA. They should come if they see advantages for doing so.However, NLA mem-bers and the government should separate personal conflicts and their duties, he said.Speaking on the debate against the Cabinet member's holding of shares in private companies, Meechai said the NLA debate could hurt itself, as some NLA members also hold shares in media companies.
