Police seeking two suspects in murders associated with complaints over alleged cosmetic-surgery malpractice know where the fugitives are.
The wanted men are Sakda Hengsawas, 32, and Prakob Seenard, 29.
A source said police had information about the whereabouts of the wanted men. The source said a "uniformed officer" was harbouring Sakda while Prakob had vowed to die rather than be arrested.
Police are looking to question seven more people in relation to the killings.
Crime Suppression Division acting commander Colonel Pongpat Chayaphan said several people had come forward with useful information.
Sakda and Prakob are suspected of killing a patient seeking malpractice compensation. One of the men is the brother of the doctor responsible for the allegedly botched operation.
Victim Raweewan Setarat was killed on September 13. A witness in her cosmetic-surgery malpractice action, Boonlue Rungruang, was murdered, too.
Raweewan filed several civil malpractice actions against Drs Kavivat and Phaisal Hengsawas, the owners of Bio Clinic.
One suspected gunman, Jaturong Benkul, was arrested on Monday. He has allegedly implicated Sakda and Prakob as masterminds.
Jaturong yesterday retracted an earlier confession to the killing of Boonlue, but admits the shooting of Raweewan.
"He claims he was being ordained as a monk at the time of the Raweewan shooting. But we have his fingerprints on a mug of beer at a shop near where she was killed," Lt Colonel Pakpoom Boonsiripokha of the Lat Phrao police said.
The courts have approved Jaturong's detention until October 7.
In a related development, a former associate of Phaisal Dr Ken Deesin encouraged police to arrest the mastermind of the Raweewan killing.
"Only with the arrest of the mastermind will other malpractice victims be able to stop fearing for their lives," Ken said.
"I fear for my safety," he said, adding had Raweewan lived she would have learned today of a verdict in a malpractice action against Phaisal.
Preeyanan Lorsermwattana, also known as Dollaporn, chairs a medical-malpractice victims network. She did not believe Sakda was the mastermind.
