
Howver he did not make it clear whether he will join Snoh's party.
Chavalit said he was still trying to be political 'link' for reconciliation in Thai society as such 'link' was needed as a third party to solve the conflicts between coupmakers and People Power Party (PPP).
He was saying at an award presentation at Thammasat University that he wanted to quit politics but was asked by others to play the role.
Chavalit was said earlier to join PPP as its leader. However, he said Monday the party did not allow him to set up policies so he decided not to join.
He might not be able to join PPP when it had Samak Sundaravej as leader and Chalerm Yoobamrung so he would turn to Snoh and Somkid to join force although he might have to stay behind the scene, he said.
Chalerm has not decided whether to join PPP.
