More businesses to report dealings

The Cabinet yesterday approved more types of businesses required to report their dealings to the Anti-Money Laundering Office.

The new categories on the proposed watch-list include investment consultants, jewellery traders, used car and motorcycle dealers, property developers, non-bank companies for personal loans and credit cards, and antiques dealers.

Besides filing transactions, proprietors are required to keep records for five years. Offenders face a fine of up to Bt300,000.
