Beckham's LA Galaxy team to play in NZ

David Becham and his Los Angeles Galaxy team will play a friendly match against Wellington Phoenix Club in New Zealand.

[SOCCER] Wellington  - Football star David Beckham and his Los Angeles Galaxy side will play a match against the Wellington Phoenix Club in New Zealand on December 2, the club said Tuesday.

Phoenix owner Terry Serepisos said a condition of the 2-million- New-Zealand-dollar (about 1.4-million-US-dollar) deal was that Beckham, who is currently injured, must play most of the match and it would be postponed if he could not turn out.

The US side will visit New Zealand as part of a scheduled trip to play in Sydney.
