The contest was for students at high school and undergraduate level and attracted 268 teams who created animation under the title Join Hands to Combat Climate Change.
The La Voix Du Vent team from Kaennakorn Witthayalai won the award for high schools with their presentation under the title of Hope.
The animation presented unpredictable events in the world. As light shines on the Earth something falls from the sky and scientists realise that it is a substance to alert people to global warming.
Meanwhile, the Creative team from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi won the contest for the undergraduate level. The team presented animation under the title Final Warning. The animation portrayed a mysterious robot that finds that the origin of warming is human activity.
Wilf Blackburn, president of AACP, said the contest demonstrated the potential of Thai students for creativity in the field of animation. "There were 2,500 students taking part with a spirit of determination," he said.
