Arnont, 18, also known as Turbo, was 11 points behind Yamaha's Chaiyan Romephan on the standings after seven rounds. But yesterday's win sent Arnont back to the top with 130 points.
Honda's Pongpat Suntarovas finished second (96 overall), and defending champion Wattana Kalaya of Suzuki was third (103). Chaiyan, who dropped to second overall (127), had a poor race, finishing 10th. The ninth round will take place in Phrae province next month.
