Sala Rim Naam, The Oriental Hotel's signature Thai restaurant, has recently been transformed into a mini royal palace serving fine Thai cuisine.
The refurbishment gives Sala Rim Naam's new interior design a magnificent palatial atmosphere with whitewashed walls, etched glass panel pattern work and chandeliers based on reversed ceremonial parasols. Thai motifs adorn the wall panels and curtains with various ikats and mudmee used for the upholstery and the traditional triangle cushions.
A lavish Thai buffet lunch is served daily and guests can enjoy a gourmet set dinner menu accompanied by the region's most spectacular cultural performance and dance show nightly.
Adding to the atmosphere is the Sala Rim Naam Lounge, an open-air pavilion, adjacent to the restaurant overlooking the splendid Chao Phya River.
