Siripol, now director-general of the Internal Trade Department, said this would help eliminate the theft of rice.
"From now, all rice millers who join the government's rice-pledging programme will need to install CCTV in the areas where they accept the rice. I will propose this to the NRC soon," he said.
Through CCTV, rice storage data could be checked and the government would know the movement of the stocks. He estimated that each rice miller would need to invest Bt10,000 to Bt20,000 for CCTV installation. - The Nation

Mori Seiki plans to invest some 10 billion yen (Bt2.7 billion) to boost production capacity for machine tools by 20-30 per cent at its Mie Prefecture main plant by 2009 amid surging global demand in the aircraft, construction machinery and other sectors.
