The company's official documents stipulate that Tassapon has sole authority to make business decisions. There are no details about other shareholders.
Tassapon said the company was selling online tour packages through the Thai AirAsia website at www.airasia.com.
"We're selling packages that combine tickets and hotel accommodation in all of the countries in which the airline operates. The company is currently negotiating with more hotel partners in all of the countries, in order to expand the service," he said, adding that the company's business accounted for 10-15 per cent of Thai AirAsia's total bookings and that the percentage was expected to increase.
Tassapon is a major shareholder in Thai AirAsia and heads all of its operations.
Thai AirAsia has been conducting trials with what it calls "net fares". The trials, on domestic routes from Bangkok to both Nakhon Si Thammarat and Khon Kaen, began last month with one-way fares of Bt799 for all seats. The net fares include fuel surcharge, insurance and fees. The trial is continuing on the same routes but with a one-way fare of Bt899.
The airline is planning to relocate its head office, call centre and back office to Kingkaew Road, near Suvarnabhumi Airport, in the next few months.
