Reused and renewed
Textile designer Jarupatcha Achavasmit
takes a new look at conservation in "Recycled Memories", at the Japan Foundation Bangkok from Thursday until September 27.
Though diminishing natural resources have forced us to rethink, reuse and recycle, Jarupatcha asks if intangibles like memories have a second life. Neglected items like dried flowers, old appointment books, diaries and dirty cloths are ripped and reconstructed to create her works.
The centre, located at Sermmit Tower on Sukhumvit 21, is open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday.
