Thailand urged to tighten cooperation with Malaysia

Thailand and Malaysia should tighten more cooperation in many sectors, particular in agricultural and agroindustrial, to ensure Asean as being the world's major agricultural products supplier, government officials and private sectors of two countries say on Tuesday.



At MalaysiaThailand business forum on "Growth through partnership building mutual strengths," held in Bangkok yesterday both Malaysian and Thai panellists shared the same view that two nations could help boost trade and economic growth by establishing more businesses cooperation in both sides.  

Malaysia's Foreign Minister Seri Syed Hamid Albar said that he is looking forward to seeing new initiatives form venture business between both entrepreneurs in various sectors to ensure trade and investment growth

between each nation.

Also, Albar said that Malaysia government is very positive to Thai government's movement in announcement of the general election date as promise.

"Thai government is taking very positive approach on politic move. This implied that Thailand is stepping forward to democracy, which would increase foreign investors' confidence," he said.

Albar urged Thai investors to invest more in Malaysia as plenty room for business success, particular in agricultural and agroindustrial, as well as services.
