Singapore Airlines Boosts Frequencies to Paris

Singapore Airlines plans two additional weekly flights on the Singapore-Paris route from October

Singapore Airlines plans two additional weekly flights on the Singapore-Paris route from October, to cater to the strong demand for travel between Singapore and the French capital. The Boeing 777-300ER, fitted with Airline's new generation cabin products in all three classes, will operate these additional flights. The new-generation seats include the widest Business and First Class seats, with fully-flat beds, and every seat in the premium cabins has direct access to the aisle. In Economy Class, a new seat design improves comfort and personal space for customers. The aircraft is also equipped with KrisWorld, the world's most advanced inflight entertainment system, which offers onboard office applications that are exclusive to the Airline. In addition, more than 1000 entertainment options including many latest-release films, TV series and CDs, cater to the entertainment needs of international travelers. The increased frequency will boost the Airline's services from Singapore to Paris to nine flights weekly in October, up from the current seven flights a week, thereby improving connection options for customers travelling between South East Asia, South West Pacific and Europe. From 5 October, flights will depart Singapore at lunch-time on Fridays and Sundays, with an evening arrival into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Return flights will depart Paris in the late evening, also on Fridays and Sundays, arriving into Singapore late the following afternoon (see attached table). Currently, Singapore Airlines operates daily B777-300ER flights to Paris, which depart Singapore in the late evening, and arrive in Paris early the next morning. The return flight departs Paris at lunchtime, arriving in Singapore early the next morning.

A further frequency is being planned in the Northern Winter schedule, from the end of October 2007. Singapore Airlines currently operates more than 700 weekly flights to 65 destinations in 35 countries in the world. The Airline will be the First to Fly the Airbus A380 and is scheduled to take delivery of the superjumbo aircraft in October this year.
