Let's just say Thaksin's not exactly Amelia Earhart

No offence to Sunisa "Lieutenant AWOL" Lertpakawat, but the title of her book - "Thaksin, Where Are You?" - is really obsolete.

Everybody knows where they can catch a glimpse of the former National Dream Weaver.

Tune in to any broadcast of a Manchester City game and there he is in his VIP box. Check out any online newspaper and his picture will be lurking on the homepage.

If he's not issuing a statement of his own, he's being discussed in a courtroom. His name appears in the sport tabloids at least once a week, and somehow he's even found his way onto the cover of The Nation's Life section today.

He also made a heck of a dent in the referendum results considering he was half a world away. "Where are you, Thaksin?" He was standing next to the ballot box in every polling station in the Northeast! Spooky.
