The hotel is located on Ratchadaphisek Road, near the Asoke Intersection and within walking distance of some of the city's best shopping, dining and entertainment outlets, as well as the Skytrain and subway lines.

General manager Magne Hansen yesterday said businessmen and tourists would be highly impressed with the total concept, facilities and service at this exciting new addition to the hotel scene.

Connectivity will be the key to the hotel's success, he said.

"We aim to impress our guests with the digital technology in the guest rooms and by the physical location the new Park Plaza offers guests in the centre of Bangkok."

Carlson Hotels Worldwide will manage the hotel. The company's office in Singapore is its Asia-Pacific  headquarters and supported by reservations, sales and development offices in Tokyo, Shanghai, New Delhi and Sydney.

The Park Plaza Sukhumvit will join 44 other Park Plaza locations worldwide.
