Men's golf team Win unlucky No 13 Gold

[GOLF] Thailand won the 13 th gold medal and perhaps the last in the Universiade after the men's golf team narrowly edged out Mexico at the Watermill Golf and Garden in Nakhon Nayok on Friday.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat,  Ekalak Vaisayakul, Varun Isarabhakdi and Varut Chomchalen produced a combined score of 863, a stroke ahead of Mexico who had to settle for the silver. Japan won the bronze on 866.

Thailand has reaped 13 gold medals so far and looks likely to finish the Games which will conclude tomorrow with the number of golds. Only three events - basketball, volleyball and diving are due on Saturday. Thailand are already out of competition in basketball and volleyball and has no medal prospects in diving.
