Marketing executive Nitima Luangaroonuthai said small and medium-sized enterprises were trying to cut back on spending.

Many of them were unwilling to pay high display fees despite the channel's potential to generate significant income and build wide awareness.

They have turned to providers of telemarketing services, such as two-year-old Property Technology, which can help them market and distribute products.

The company, which provides telemarketing and distribution services using the 1577 telephone number, has already witnessed its revenues growing 35 per cent during the first seven months of the year, although Nitima declined to reveal the figure.

The company's services include marketing products, working with local dealers across the country for each product, distributing products countrywide and arranging and updating customer databases.

It employs a computer telephony-integrated system, which lets all operators know what telephone numbers they missed and call those customers right back.

It already has 20 corporate clients and expects to acquire 20 more by year-end. Most of the products are for health and wellness, such as skincare and food supplements. It also sells yellow T-shirts and wristbands.

This year, Property Technology will emphasise hair growth products.

In choosing which SMEs to serve, the company looks for those that guarantee consistency in product quality and promote their products through other channels, as it also stresses stimulating repeat customer business for all the products it handles.
