And, as good Thai children, we always answered, "love mom as the sky," bringing smiles to our mothers' faces, who, of course, loved us more than the sky and there was nothing in the world she wouldn't do to make us happy and comfortable.
Now, the executive producers of Butterfly Kids, Pongprom Sanitwong Na Ayuthaya and Komol Boonpienpol, bring all those happy memories flooding back with an EP of three songs that reflect on the understanding, caring, and devotion of all mothers.
The title track of "Rak Mae Tao Fah" (Love Mom as the Sky), composed by Somchai Santirit, is sung by young siblings Krit "Chogun" and Chaninart "Aomsin" Sirisawasdi, while Supawan "Namwan" Boonpreecha weaves her magic on Su Boonliang's "Im-oon"(Warmth).
The last single "Aom Kaen Thee Huang Yai" (Caring Arms) is sung by Titiporn "Platong" Tongsri.
"We don't expect people to be able to sing along with the tracks," says Pongprom.
"But when they hear them, they'll be that wonderful woman who loves them more than the sky".
The three songs were recently chosen by the sub-committee on moral and ethics of the National Legislative Assembly to represent support for grateful values on the occasion of this year's Mother Day.
To listen, send an SMS message with the word "mom" and send it to 4259444 (Bt30 a song).
