Reading: "Arab Ratree", a Thai translation of "Arabian Nights"
"I've just gone through it for a second time. It's an e-book that I downloaded from the Net. The story revolves around a king and his new bride. After discovering his wife's infidelity, King Shahryar has her executed and declares that all women are unfaithful. After killing his first wife, he continues to marry a succession of young women who, he believes, invariably cheat on him. He kills one the next morning and marries another the next evening. The whole cycle of marriages and killings goes on until no women are left except Scheherazade, the daughter of his vizier. She agrees to be the sultan's next bride. Both pretty and smart, the bride escapes the execution by telling the sultan a series of tales and keeping each unfinished so that the sultan has to keep her alive to hear the next part of the story. It drags on for 1,001 nights and eventually the sultan spares her life. The book is a great read unlike other modern tales available in the bookshops. I also read a lot of self-development books, which are useful for my career and especially my lectures I deliver at various organisations. I'm also interested in executive book reviews and the summaries available at www.summary.com plus political book reviews at www.capitolreader.com. These sites are very useful for busy executives like myself."
