The site will also provide consultation for women who have contracted breast cancer on how to take care of themselves after diagnosis and during treatment.
"Most Thai women do not get enough information about know to prevent breast cancer or how to take care of themselves," she said.
Rochana was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and has undergone surgery.
"I had to seek information about breast cancer myself. I was surprised because I wasn't prepared and had no knowledge about this disease. I think information is a part of a patient's mechanism for prevention," she said.
The website idea was initiated by a group of 80 women who suffered from breast cancer and who wanted to share their experience with other patients. The group started two years ago and officially opened its club yesterday at Siam Paragon department store.
