The hooded robbers entered the TMB building at around 3pm. One of them told the bank's tellers to lie face down the floor at gunpoint while the other jumped over the counter and grabbed the money from a drawer. The staff told police that it took the two robbers just one minute to complete the raid.

The two men then fled on a motorcycle driven by a third man who was waiting for them. They were last seen heading to the Thepharak Intersection.

Samrong Nua police said they believed the robbers also stole money from a Siam City Bank branch in the Thepharak area of the province two months ago.
